In my series titled, Flora Forms, I photographed black and white botanical stills. Inspired by Imogen Cunningham's print, Philodendron - 1950s, I created my images using a solid white backdrop, absence of color and the simplicity of a singular subject. Paying attention to positive and negative space, in addition to light and shadow, to emphasize form, texture and composition
